A rubbish origin story

Like all good stories, this began on a snooker table. But more on that later.

Binfluencer Kieran Poole is on a mission to make us see litter. He detests it but, frankly, nobody actually likes it. Do you know anybody that does?

Wherever he goes, he picks it up and keeps safe any bottle lids and ring-pulls that can be turned into Rubbish Art. He even snaps up discarded shopping lists left in trolleys (you can see those at Rubbish Lists).  

So why on Earth did it start on a snooker table? Well, to be correct, it was actually an outdoor snooker table in his garden.  You see, while playing in the sun, a friend challenged him to fill the table with litter. Confident he could do it with lids alone, Kieran reckoned a year’s worth of litter picking would do the trick.

Deary dumplings, was he wrong!

Because, just one month later, the table was covered with 1,603 lids producing a mosaic myriad of colour. So what happened next? Did Kieran pop them all in a recycling bag for bin day?

Nope.

Instead, he created a helluva truly Rubbish Idea.
